If you have déjà vu after hearing Dan Stokes sing, it is because you may have heard his voice before. As the baby-faced member of the R&B Soul group Solo his identifiable smooth soulful tenor and ringing falsetto rings on songs “Heaven, Touch me, Xxtra, Blowing my mind, Gone," and many others. His voice is a myriad of the soulful influences of Luther Vandross, Peabo Bryson, Babyface, and Michael Jackson. “I can’t help it” says Stokes “those were the voices that shaped my listening ears.”
Dan is not only a maker and lover of music, he is also a self-proclaimed style junkie and foodie who holds and MSEd in Counseling. He resides in Brooklyn, New York.
